Direct Resin Bridge Canine

In this case, the adult upper right canine never came through and the baby tooth was retined. The baby tooth then got infected and required removal - note the very inflammed gums and the sunken in position of the tooth.

By doing a direct bridge in a single appointment, the patient did not have to go without a tooth at all.

Procedure:

1) patient was given local aneasthetic to numb the area

2) tooth was removed

3) fibre strip was bonded between the two teeth, spanning the gap

4) new tooth built up, shade matched to adjacent teeth and in lign with the patients smile

5) SMILE! :D

 

Indirect Porcelain Bridge - Example 1

An aesthetic and durable long term solution for 1-2 missing teeth

Material: Porcelain (shade matched to natural teeth) bonded to metal sub-structure
Life-span: 10-15 years+
Appointment: 2 visits, first for preparation and impression, second for insertion
Procedure: bonded to adjacent tooth/teeth, requires preparation of teeth for crown
